Kentucky. Kids from a Group Home Stole a Care and Tried to Run Over An Officer

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Police say two juveniles ran away from a group home, stole a car and tried to run over an officer after they wrecked.

A 15-mile police chase began on Interstate 75 in Scott County and ended at U.S. 25 and Ky. 32 Monday night.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports a state Vehicle Enforcement officer called in the license plate number because he suspected the driver was under the influence. He turned on his emergency lights when the car was confirmed stolen.

The juveniles are residents of a group home in Albany, Ky., and were taken to the Fayette Regional Juvenile Detention Center after their arrest.
