Georgia. 16 Students Punished For School Fight

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Officials with the DeKalb County School System said 16 students were punished after participating in a gang fight at Cross Keys High School on Sept. 22. Principal LaShawn McMillan said a local form hearing was held on Sept. 24 at the school, and as a result six students were sent to “Student Evidentiary” for violating school rules. Seven students were suspended for an additional three to five days and will return to Cross Keys High after their suspensions. Three students who were suspended after the fight were allowed to return to school on Monday. Officials said the fight happened on the football field at the school.
