MA. Pittsfield girl charged with kicking vice principal in head during fight at high school

16-year-old girl is facing assault charges for allegedly kicking the vice principal at Pittsfield High School in the head on Friday while he was trying to break up a fight at the school.

The girl was arrested after police responded about 11:15 a.m. to the incident in the school’s cafeteria, where staff members were trying to break up a fight between two girls, both 16.

After exchanging text messages, one girl dumped a tray of food on the other girl, who was arrested, Pittsfield Police Sgt. Michael Maddalena said.

The girl who was arrested faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon — her shoe — for allegedly kicking the vice principal.
