North Carolina. Three Students Charged in School Fight

Police said 2- 17 year olds and one 19 year old got into a fight around 11:15 a.m. inside the school’s cafeteria.

A spokesman from Wake County School said a school resource officer tried to break up the fight and the students assaulted the officer.  The officer then used pepper spray which also affected 15 nearby students not involved in the fight.

Officials say three of those students went to the hospital with upper respiratory issues.  Police say the three students are charged with one count each of fighting and resisting, delaying or obstructing a law enforcement officer.
