OH. High School student shot

A robbery attempt turned violent when a 16-year-old Benedictine High School student was shot in the chest by a robber Monday morning.  Now Cleveland Police say two arrests have been made

Sophomore Jackrell Russell was approached by the suspect who, according to a report in the ‘Cleveland Plain Dealer’, demanded the boy’s cell phone and school issued laptop.

The boy was able to flag down a passing R-T-A bus on South Moreland and Buckeye where a passenger called 9-1-1.

Russell is listed in stable but critical condition with surgery scheduled for later Wednesday.

Cleveland Police Sergeant Sammy Morris says they arrested 21-year-old Edward Grant and 22-year-old Timothy Denton without incident
