Two juveniles are facing charges after a fight in the hallway at a Sioux Falls school.
Police say they responded to a disorderly call at Roosevelt High School on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old girl and a 14-year-old fighting in a school hallway.
Once separated, the 17-year-old was brought to the school office. Police say that’s when she took a swing at a school resource officer, hitting him in the chest area.
The 17-year-old was arrested for simple assault on law enforcement, which is considered a felony, and taken to the juvenile detention center.
Police say the 14-year-old was taken away by her mother.
Both teens are facing disorderly conduct charges for fighting in school. No injuries were reported.
