VA. Student pulls weapon during fight at John Marshall High School

Police arrested a students who pulled out a weapon during a fight at John Marshall High School Friday, according to Richmond Police.

Two students got into a fight inside the school around 6:14 a.m. Friday. At least one of the students was waiting to take the bus from John Marshall to another school. After the fight, the student with the weapon ran off, but was tackled by school security a few blocks away.

Police have recovered the weapon, but won’t say what it was.

The school was under code red lockdown, however that has since been lifted. However, parents are being allowed to pick up their students if they choose.
